shhhhh

Sometimes it is a challenge for an artist to carve out time to produce her own work due to the hectic pace and deadlines encountered in the material world, so we are doubly awed by Kristy Knight's  (our artist in residence) latest work entitled SHHH (or,  shadows without trees) created for the Terre Verte Show at Mercury Artworks.

This quiet work weaves pale tree shadows that have no object that could cast them, with real objects in similar form evoking a poetic sense of ghostliness, absence and loss. The multi media piece was made specifically for this show, but could be exhibited in a variety of settings and retain the same meaning.

We strive to incorporate fine art in all of our projects and relish the process.  Kristy Knight (MFA, Rhode Island School of Design AND a music major at University of Texas!) oversees our installations with sensitivity and creativity, allowing each client and their space to set the tone for the works selected.  Some have even received custom compositions inspired by the space and its inhabitants.

The Terre Verte Art Opening Event at Hotel Indigo Athens got a great write up in Athens' free weekly. We'll be checking back for reviews of the work exhibited as well.
